Technology Within Window Solutions

As technology in general has improved, the technology within window solutions has as well. From Smart voice commands to automated closing and opening. Technology can be used in a multitude of different ways. It can help immobile people who struggle to reach higher windows. If you have electric roman blinds there is not a cord drop so less heath and safety.

Electric Tracks and Poles

For larger windows an electric track or pole would be a better option. Now you can get wooden electric poles which combine the luxury of a thick wooden pole and the convenience of electric capabilities. It is easy to have a double electric system now, an electric track with a sheer along with a top fix metal pole holding a curtain. Both window solutions can be put onto the same system so one remote can control everything. It is possible to either use a remote, wall switch or app. For those of you who often misplace items then maybe the wall switch will be best.

Electric Roman and Roller Blinds

Electric Romans and Roller blinds are beneficial especially if the blind is in an awkward place. It can either be connected to the mains or a solar panel can be attached which will trickle feed the battery meaning it will always be topped up. We often use sunset and sunrise programs with blinds to automate the process, which can also help if you are away on holiday so people will still think that you are in the house.

Misconceptions

There are quite a few common misconceptions about electric window solutions:

That the batteries only last a few months - in reality with everyday use it will last from 6-9 months.

That the motors are very loud - roller blind motors are virtually silent, larger electric poles are not as quiet as they have to carry such a large weight.

That electric options are very expensive. While electric curtain poles are expensive, electric roman blinds and roller blinds are not much more expensive.
